STUDY ONE
We laid a new tarmac® for a resident on the edge of Tavistock, Devon.
The client had an existing drive which was in poor condition and was 550m². This drive was used to access the property and for parking purposes. The drive required heavy duty due to its commercial usage including cars, vans and livestock.
So, to remove the existing drive we used a mini digger that took 3 days.
Once the old surface was removed and compacted, we used 803 Type One for it. We then used a compacter and a roller to make sure it was solid. We also ensured to create a stable surface and laid a 50-60mm base coat, and top coat 40-50mm tarmac®, using a hard stone average 40-50mm.
We finished off the edges using granite stones. These are head-wearing and very stable and provide a high-quality finish to your drive.

STUDY TWO
The area was St Ann’s Chapel. This is an area between Gunnislake and Callington.
What we did for this job was, remove concrete driveway, and path. Extend driveway, prepare groundwork’s. So to remove the existing drive we used a mini digger. This took two days.
Once the old surface was removed, this was compacted, and levelled. The foundation has to be secure so we used 803 type 1.
We then use a compacter and a roller to make sure it was solid. This makes sure that we have a stable strong surface to lay the new Tarmac® surface. We then laid a new Tarmac® drive and path.
